Its Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said efforts include mobilising personnel into villages to give explanations to the people about the programme. "Perhaps in Sabah it (the vaccination drive) would be later as many live outside towns or in remote areas. "I am confident they will be aware and understand the need to get the vaccination for immunity against Covid-19," he said in a statement. On Monday, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had proposed to set a deadline for the registration to enable the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force to better plan the programme. Earlier, Hajiji received his second dose of vaccine together with Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam, state secretary Datuk Seri Safar Untong, state Federal Secretary Datuk Dr Zulkapli Mohamed and state Police Chief Datuk Hazani Ghazali.
