KOTA KINABALU: As 2025 draws to a close, CelcomDigi is marking the year by celebrating Malaysians who represent the nation’s next generation of champions — individuals driven by courage, resilience and an unrelenting belief in their dreams.
The celebration comes through The Network of Tomorrow’s Champions, a short film that pays tribute to Malaysians who have transformed passion into achievement, while reflecting CelcomDigi’s commitment to keeping people, communities and opportunities connected.
The film features a diverse group of inspiring talents, including esports powerhouse Selangor Red Giants (SRG.OG), multi-award-winning towerrunning champion Soh Wai Ching, Lawn Bowls Malaysia’s inaugural World Cup Women’s Singles champion Emma Firyana Saroji, and 13-year-old motorsports prodigy Qabil Irfan, who clinched the Espana Superbike Championship.
Also highlighted are Wan Muhammad Ammar Asyraf bin Wan Azizie Nazri and Aliff Ziqri bin Jasmin, rising stars in Malaysia’s sepak takraw scene, whose journeys underscore how discipline and perseverance can elevate young talent onto the national and international stage.
Beyond sports, The Network of Tomorrow’s Champions shines a spotlight on creative and social changemakers shaping Malaysia’s future. These include award-winning docu-content creator Small Towns Malaysia, graffiti artist Wilson Ng — the talent behind Sabah’s largest mural — and marine biologist and conservationist Alvin Chelliah. Together, they represent a vibrant cross-section of Malaysians using creativity, science and storytelling to inspire positive change.
CelcomDigi said the stories featured in the film embody its belief that every champion begins with a small first step, and that with the right support, these steps can spark achievements that contribute to a more connected and forward-looking Malaysia.
Mirroring the journeys of these champions, CelcomDigi noted that it has grown stronger in 2025 with the support of over 20 million Malaysians.
