KOTA KINABALU: Karambunai incumbent assemblyman Datuk Jainab Ahmad has no worry in facing the five-cornered fight for the state seat in coming polling day.
She is contesting under Barisan Nasional ticket and will face Ag Maidin and Rano Susulan(Independednt), Muali Aching (PKR) and Aziz Ibrahim (SAPP).
"I am confident the people under my constituency have witnessed and enjoyed the works I have done for them as their leader.
"Others, who rarely seen to be on the ground with the people, will most likely fighting among themselves,"she said after launching the Rural Transformation Centre programme at Kg Darau Laut near here yesterday.
Jainab, who is also state Wanita Umno assistant secretary, described her opponents who contested
under independent parties were those who were dissatisfied for not being fielded under opposition party.
"It is not all about being selected as candidates, but to be a good spokesperson for the 'rakyat' and the sincerity to bring development for them,"she said, adding that she also seconded on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's decision to expell BN members doing similar thing.
She also expressed her gratitute to Umno Wanita head Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil for constantly supporting and recommending incumbents women to be continue fielded as candidates.
"I am quite surprised that I am still nominated as candidate this year, and will definitely do my best during election," Jainab said.
