KOTA KINABALU: A song composed by the late Valerian Joannes, who died in last month earthquake, will be released to public in November.

Borneo Music Tamuya production manager Josue James said the album was meant to pay tribute to all 18 victims perished in the 5.9 Richter scale quake in Ranau.

"Before the quake in June 5, we managed to record Valerian's song entitled 'Igitanku Langon Nu" which mean I will hold your hands.

“The song was supposed to be revealed during his wedding in November,” he said, adding the company will use the song title as the name of the tribute album.

Valerian's song depicts his vow to appreciate Jessica better after they get married as the duo had separated for short period due to some misunderstanding.

The song had been sung in public by Akademi Fantasia 3 first runner up Felix Agus during “Remembering Our Heros” charity concert in Penampang.

The album will also feature 14 other songs in Dusun and Bahasa Malaysia languages sung by local artistes.

Jessica, 25, who is a nurse at Queen Elizabeth hospital here also contributes a song in the album.

Josue said the production company had received different kinds of assistance from friends to work on the album.

"Tentatively, we will release the album on late Valerian's birthday on Nov 25.

"Hopefully these songs will boost the morale of those affected by the disaster," he said.
