KOTA KINABALU: PKR vice president Nurul Izzah
Anwar should be banned from entering the state, urge local politicians.
Sabah politicians said she was being
insensitive to the feelings of Sabah people when she met Jacel Kiram, the
daughter of late self-proclaimed Sultan Sulu.
Datuk Wilfred Bumburing (ind- Tamparuli) said
Nurul had ignored the feelings of the locals in her actions.
“The Lembah Pantai MP’s action (of meeting
Jacel) showed that she had ignored the feeling of the people on what had
happened in Tanduo and ‘Sulu Sultan’s” claim on Sabah.
“For her, to get support at the international
level for the release of her father (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) is more
important than the sovereignty of the state,” he said during the debate session
at the 14th State assembluy sitting here.
Meanwhile, Datuk Ahmad Bujang (BN-Sindumin)
said in the picture (of Nurul and Jacel), there was a poster asking for the
release of her father.
“The poster indicated that the meeting could
have been planned.
“The action of asking help from an enemy is
gruesome and irresponsible,” he added.
Another backbencher Datuk Mohd Suhaili Said
(BN-Tungku) also expressed his disappointment over Nurul’s action.
“It doesn’t matter if she met Jacel before
the Tanduo incident, but she knows 15 security personnel perished during the
intrusion.
“Could Nurul be asking these terrorists to
release her father in a ‘violent’ or unlawful way?” he asked.
