Jonius Ondie @ Jahali, 24, from Sabah charged in Magistrate court in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Charges: Section 130 J (1)(b) of the Penal Code. 


  • Committed the offence through Telegram app at  Bandar Armada Putra, Pulau Indah here, between March 25 and July 1.
  •  Jonius, who is from Sabah, and Imam Wahyudin Karjono, 20, from Puchong, Selangor, committed a terrorist act by hurling and exploding a hand grenade which used the “Fuze M213” fuse lever in Puchong June 28.

A 17-year-old man from Sandakan was detained by Bukit Aman counter terrorism Special branch between July 20 and Aug 9.

He had planned to carry out a lone wold attack to slaughter non Muslims in Sandakan and issued threats on his Facebook account about killing the Inspector General Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.

A travel agency operator Mohd Firdaus Asren Saputra BMS Asren, 34, a local Javanese was charged in Kota Kinabalu Magistrate's Court.

Charges: Section 130 J (1)(a) and Section 130J (1)(b) of the Penal Code.

  • Two counts of soliciting support via Telegram app between March 25 and June 29 at Kg Contoh Petagas, Putatan.
  • Three counts of dealing with terrorist property by allowing money to be deposited in a bank under  “Bukhori Chee Noor” account for IS activities between April 1 and June 30 
Fixed for mention on September 19.

On other note, Sabah Tourism and Culture ministry director Ag Ahmad Zaki said in statement that the business address provided by Firdaus was non-existent. He was once caught ferrying 11 Malaysians from west using a white van last December.

Aszroy Achoi, 25, from Kota Belud was charged in the Magistrate's court. 

Charges: Section 130J (1)(a) of the Penal Code. 
  • Allegedly giving support to the terrorist group via two Facebook accounts under usernames of a) Yohyo Irranun Peace AlBorneozy and b)Yohyo Illa'nun AlSaba Malizia at Kampung Kota Bungan in Jalan Kudat, Kota Belud between May 8 and July 19. 
Fixed October 4 for re-mention of the case.
