KOTA KINABALU: Bundles of joy arrived earlier on Christmas Day for two mothers in Sabah.

Kelly Marsellinus, 38 from Papar said her second child came 10 days earlier than the expected due date on Jan 4.
“The labour pain started at 1am and I delivered my son at 8.30am.
“I never thought that I will get him today... which will be easier for us to remember his birthday in future,” she said.
Kelly, who works as a hotelier, added that she plans to name her son Emmanuel but has yet to discuss it with her husband.
Another mother, Eirnnie Joshya, 28, of Kampung Sinulihan, Inanam, described the birth of her third child as her Christmas present.
“I had gestational diabetes, therefore the hospital advised me to be induced.
“Supposedly, my due date is on Jan 7, but my baby girl arrives today, at 7.51am,” she added.
Eirnnie said when she did not think much on having a child on Christmas Day because of the labour pain.
“I am glad that she is born healthy at 2.97kg,” she added.
As of 2.30pm, Kelly and Eirnnie are among 19 mothers who delivered their babies at Likas Women and Children’s hospital here.
