KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) has liken the current political scenario to a football match, where the first half is over, but the game has not ended.
Its Youth chief Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman said Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin should think twice before meddling in Sabah’s affairs in efforts to get the numbers to form his Federal government.
“If Pakatan Harapan can fall even with comfortable support, what more a government without numbers (of support).
“We will see what happens in the second half,” he said in a statement.
In response to Sabah Umno youth chief Abdul Aziz Julkarnain’s call for Perikatan Nasional to reject Warisan, Mohd Azis said the party was not a halfbaked political entity, as it had gone through a lot of hardship before forming the Sabah government.
“Leaders in Warisan were all seasoned streetfighters, before we became the state government, we had fought the federal and previous state government.
“What makes him think that we will not survive when we are still the state government.”
At press time, there are 31 Warisan assemblymen, six DAP, four UPKO and two PKR in the government bloc, while the opposition bloc consists of nine PPBM members, four PBS, three Star and one Umno.
The Dewan Rakyat sitting which was scheduled to begin on March 9 has been postponed to May 18.
