KOTA KINABALU: Medical experts from China will arrive in Sabah tomorrow which is their last stop after almost two weeks in the country.
State Health and People's Wellbeing minister Datuk Frankie Poon said the team would spend two days here to share information with local teams on Covid-19.
"The team has been in West Malaysia for 10 days and is now spending two days in Sarawak.
"After having discussions with hospital authorities here, they will go back on April 29," he said, adding that he hoped the meeting would assist the medical fraternity to contain the infection more effectively.
Poon was speaking to reporters after the handing over of the second batch of donations worth RM150,000 from China through the Ma-Zhong Friendship Association Sabah here.
To date, the association has given out 10,000 3-ply masks, 6,000 N95, 2,400 KN95 and 10 temperature measurement guns for Sabah hospitals.
Present were Kota Kinabalu China Consul General Liang Caide, the association president Dr Oh Ei Sun and its secretary-general Steven Liaw.
Meanwhile, on the return of varsity students from other states in the country, Poon said all of them would have to undergo home quarantine for two weeks.
"Unless they have a history of travel from overseas, those students have to undergo quarantine at the centres.
"Although Sabah had zero case (yesterday), people should not become too complacent but continue to wear masks, practice personal hygiene and social distancing.
