KOTA KINABALU: Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) has expressed its full support for Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at Prime Minister, said party president Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan.

"I fully support Muhyiddin to continue as the Prime Minister.

"There is no question at all of shifting support to any other candidate aspiring and dreaming of replacing Muhyiddin as the Prime Minister," he said in a statement today.

The Keningau Member of Parliament was referring to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's claims of commanding a parliamentary majority to form a new federal government.

Jeffrey said Anwar, who is PKR president and Pakatan Harapan chairman, is damaging his credibility by portraying himself as a man lusting for power regardless of consequences to the people.

"It is better for him to look after his constituents as the MP for Port Dickson, to contribute his efforts and energy to assist the government and the people in the fight against the invisible enemy, the Covid-19 pandemic.

"He can also help the economy recover, since many people and businesses have been badly affected by this tragedy."
