KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital general manager Mohamad Faizal Mohamed said the institution had set up a booth to educate its clients on the inoculation programme.

"As a healthcare institution, we should do something for the public although we are not a vaccination centre (yet).

"We need to educate the people to be confident with the vaccines as they have been exposed to inaccurate information," he said during a meeting with media representatives at the hospital yesterday.

Mohamad said the hospital's relevant doctors were also keen to talk to the public about health issues related to Covid-19.

As of yesterday, Phase 1 of the inoculation programme saw 43,180 people completed their two doses of Covid-19 vaccines while 825 under Phase 2 received their first Covid-19 dose.

For cumulative vaccination registration, Sabah recorded 452,138 or 15.4 per cent of the total population in the state.

Sabah recorded 82 daily Covid-19 cases yesterday with 8 districts categorised as red zones, orange (four), yellow (nine) and green (six).

The state also saw 33 localities placed under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).
