KOTA BELUD: The parliamentary constituency's People's Service Centre here has set up a facility to help more constituents register for the Covid-19 vaccination.
Kota Belud member of parliament Isnaraissah Munirah Majlis said constituents need only send their particulars via WhatsApp to enjoy this facility.
She said the initiative would help register more constituents in getting their Covid-19 vaccines.
"I have received many complaints that they have registered for the inoculation via the MySejahtera application since three months ago but have yet to be called for the injection.
"I am hoping that such an initiative could help with the registration process so that more people can get the vaccination as soon as possible," she said in a statement.
Munirah also added that the service centre would submit all the lists to the Kota Belud district health office on a daily basis.
To date, 13,530 of the constituents have registered via MySejahtera, but there were only 2,000 people including frontliners who have received the vaccines.
The vaccination centres in Kota Belud can administer a maximum of 1,000 doses daily.
She said by right, within 150 days, the vaccination centres could cover two vaccine doses for 74,400 people aged 18 and above.
The Kota Belud district, which is about two hours from the state capital, currently has eight areas under the Enhanced Movement Control Order.
More details of the initiative can be found at Munirah's Facebook page.
