KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) denied issuing any statement to support Perikatan Nasional.
Its secretary-general Datuk Loretta Padua said a purported message which has been circulating was fake.
The statement indicated that Warisan had held a meeting yesterday to discuss issues such as Umno pulling out support for the government, political stability and the Covid-19 situation.
The letter had also claimed the meeting in the afternoon was on the announcement of 12 Umno members of parliament withdrawing support for PN and the number of parliamentarians supporting the government.
The letter claimed the Warisan president made several decisions for the survival of the party for the people, religion and nation and that it was supporting the PN government en bloc for people's wellbeing especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Warisan has eight members of parliament; party president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal (Semporna), Datuk Darell Leiking (Penampang), Datuk Mohamaddin Ketapi (Lahad Datu), Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman ( Sepanggar), Isnaraissah Munirah Majilis (Kota Belud), Ma'mun Sulaiman (Kalabakan), Ahmad Hassan (Papar), Rosman Isli (Labuan).
