Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Jafry Ariffin said there were 50 artworks of various media and techniques by Tun Juhar Mahiruddin displayed at the Sabah Museum department.

"Sabah Museum department had chosen six artworks to be animated with special audio and visual effects to make the exhibition more interesting.

"The animated works will become promotional items during this special exhibition," he said during the virtual launch of the event on the Sabah Museum social media platform.

Jafry added that this year, the Sabah Museum department had taken the approach to have the exhibition virtually.

"As we all know, our country is hit by the Covid-19 pandemic but it will not stop nor will it become an excuse for the department not to organise the event.

"The exhibition this time will bring us to discover the hidden talents of the Yang diPertua Negeri in paintings.

"It is also meant to give exposure and improve public knowledge and appreciation of fine arts in terms of aesthetic value."

The exhibition can be viewed on the Sabah Museum Facebook page and YouTube channel.
