KENINGAU: Kolej Vokasional (KV) Keningau has taken a step to strengthen Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in cosmetology through a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with two beauty industry players.

KV Keningau director Lumang Anak Lang said the collaboration goes beyond a symbolic partnership between an educational institution and the private sector.

“The collaboration with Posh Beauty Sdn. Bhd. and FokusJaya Cerah Sdn. Bhd. reflects a shared commitment to driving innovation and strengthening professional networks between education institutions and the private sector.

“Through this collaboration, we hope to enhance the field of cosmetology through the sharing of expertise, resources and experience to produce competent and competitive graduates aligned with current industry demands.

“This platform also opens up wider opportunities for collaboration, enabling institutions to better face dynamic challenges in the future,” he said at the MoU signing ceremony on Tuesday.

Lumang expressed hope that the initiative would serve as a catalyst for further programmes that benefit not only students and staff of KV Keningau, but also the overall development of national human capital.

He also conveyed appreciation to the college’s Industry Relations and Agency Department and the cosmetology teaching unit for their role in making the initiative a success.

The MoU is expected to have a positive impact on sustaining the quality of vocational education and ensuring graduates possess high-level skills that meet global job market standards.
