For the 15th year, the Selangor Turf Club and Sa Sa Fashion jointly promote style and elegance on one Turf Day
THE annual Sa Sa Fashion on the Turf took place at Selangor Turf Club for the 15th time.
Selangor Turf Club chairman, Tan Sri Datuk Richard Cham, said the event, also known as "Selangor Turf Club Ladies Day", is synonymous with style, elegance and excitement at the race course.
"Today is the day for women to be stylish, flaunting their fashionable wear with matching hats," he said.
"Sa Sa's partnership with Selangor Turf Club has definitely created a fashion statement here."
The one-day event was filled with lots of activities to keep the 700 ladies and few gentlemen busy. Besides betting on the horse races, guests were also entertained with fashion shows by event partners bYSI, Evita Perori, Shoes Shoes Shoes and Klutched.
Guests were pampered with free make-up sessions by Cyber Colours, a hairdo makeover and photoshooting. Organisers also provided the women photo opportunities with the jockeys.
The main highlight of the day was the Sa Sa Fashion on the Turf Trophy covering a distance of 1,400 metres, with the prize money RM100,000.
At the closing ceremony, Cham presented trophies to the jockey, trainer and owner of the winning horse, Good Planning.
Sa Sa International Holdings Limited chairman and chief executive officer Dr Simon Kwok and his wife, Dr Eleanor Kwok, also presented RM20,000 to the Pink Triangle Foundation.
The donation was collected through the sale of raffle draw tickets.
At the end of the programme, 10 best-dressed women received RM3,800 worth of prizes each, while others walked back with goodie bags from sponsors.
