IN SABAH the Umno elections is picking up rhythm with several divisions setting between 10am to 10.30am to start its meetings.
The earlier part of the morning saw party members trickling into the venues from about 8am, chat over breakfast as their respective divisional meeting committees registers those who came.
In Libaran according to NST journalist Kristy Inus, the Wanita division where the Sabah chief Datuk Armani Mahiruddin is vying for an Executive Council post members are now waiting for the Sabah Umno chief Datuk Seri Musa Aman to officiate the meeting at Dewan Sri Libaran.
t the Papar Community Centre NST photographer Zunnur Al Shafiq reports outgoing Puteri Umno chief Datuk Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin was given a rousing when she arrived at the Community Centre at about 9am. Rosnah is vying for an Executive Council post in the Wanita wing.
In Penampang, NST reporter Avila Geraldine said the Youth meeting is scheduled to start at about 10.30am at the Dewan Sigah in Kampung Tuavon. The Wanita wing is holding its meeting at the Kampung Mahandoi Community Hall while the Puteri wing at the Marina Court in Kota Kinabalu.
At the Palace Hotel in Kota Kinabalu, NST reporter Olivia Miwil said the aspirant for the Youth Deputy Permanent Chairman post Bahrul Razha Chuprat arrived as early as 7am and is currently briefing delegates on the voting process.
In Beaufort NST photographer Malai Rosmah Tuah said Wanita vice chief aspirant Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun, who will also be facing a three way contest for the Beaufort division chief post next weekend where one of the challengers is her half sister Saridah Mohd Dun, arrived at the community Centre at about 9am.
