Following the arrest two senior
officers of Sabah Water department, MACC seized RM45million from the director,
RM7.2 million from his deputy, RM23 million from banks accounts belonging to
officers and family members, and froze RM37 million from a company bank account
linked to one of the officers. Other seized items are six safe deposit boxes
with one containing RM2.5 million.

Department deputy director’s brother with
Datuk title and an accountant nabbed. Four of them will be remanded until Oct
11.

MACC seized another RM3.3 million in
cash and jewellery from deposit boxes.

department was reported to have a house overseas.

a)Magistrate’s court in Kota Kinabalu allowed
a five-day remand extension for the department director, three others – his
deputy, the deputy’s brother and an accountant- had their remands extended
until Oct 17.
b)MACC recovered RM1million from three
individuals, who are department officers, when the trio were called up for
their statements to be recorded.

A 62-year-old retired technical and
engineering adviser to the state Finance Ministry arrested.

Department director released on a
bail of RM500,000 with two sureties.
Oct 17
Magistrate released deputy and his
brother, an accountant released on RM50,000 bail with two sureties. State
secretary Tan Sri Sukarti Wakiman said the director and his deputy have been
suspended from their duties pending investigations. The suspensions are
effective since Oct 4 and Oct 5.

a) Fifth 62-year-old retired government
linked to corruption was released with bail RM500,000 with two sureties.
b) MACC arrested 19 more officers and
recovered RM7.8 million in its second wave of operations 27 locations across
the state.
Oct 20
Sabah government has appointed Willis @Mojiron Ansoi, who was
promoted from being the deputy director of the Sabah Public Works Department
(PWD) to interim director of the department.

Three more individuals have been apprehended by the MACC
to assist investigations.

A district engineer has been arrested and
remanded in the ongoing massive graft probe into the Sabah Water Department.
Oct 24
Five of the department employees were released on RM50,000
bail each.

A 59-year-old engineer was released with bail
RM200,000 after five days remand expired.

Five divisional engineers, three district engineers, a
technician and a water works official were released at the Kota Kinabalu
Magistrate’s Court; while an engineer and two technicians were freed at the
Lahad Datu Magistrate’s Court. an engineer, was released
at the Tawau Magistrate’s Court.

The last three people nabbed in Sabah Water Op II are district
engineer and divisional engineer who are released on MACC bail of RM200,000 without deposit and in two sureties; and
another assistant divisional engineer released on bail of RM50,000 without deposit and
in two sureties.
