The 42-year-old man known as Hadirun was charged under Section 15(1)(a) Dangerous Drug Act 1952.
According to a police statement, when the judgment was read out at about 10.57am today, the man fainted.
"The court contacted the medical services and an ambulance took him to the Queen Elizabeth hospital.
"At 12.06pm, it was informed that the man had died. His cause of death is believed to be heart attack," it said.
