KOTA KINABALU: A student fell from the first floor of SMKA Tun Datu Mustapha on July 15, two days short of a year since the incident that claimed the life of Zara Qairina Mahathir.
The student in the latest incident did not suffer serious injuries but has been hospitalised.
The Education department has started a probe and the initial findings suggest no criminal or elements of bullying.
This latest incident, however, have sparked reactions from lawyers who want the Education Ministry to take a more proactive action in addressing students' behaviour at schools.
Lawyer Datuk Ram Singh said that they felt sad about the latest incident involving the female student.
"Why would it happen (again)? We have not even completed this inquest, and another incident happened in the same school.
